Centre pompidou
Located in Paris, France - the Centre Pompidou was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. It is easily recognizable by its exterior escalators and large colored tubing. The Centre Pompidou houses the National Museum of Modern Art and is internationally renowned for its 20th and 21st century art collections.
the architecture
Inspiration
A custom logotype takes inspiration from the angles of Centre Pompidou's famous exterior escalators. The rectangular letterforms allow the letters to be easily stacked in different ways, just as the interior of the museum is easily rearrangeable depending on content.
a dynamic + flexible system
Strategy
The innovative structure of the museum and modern art collection deserved a system that lived up to its values. Simple colors, contemporary typography, and clean photography emphasize the Centre Pompidou’s personality while allowing the content to shine.
